Riverproof was founded in 1982 by a group of friends with the goal of being able to access outdoor locations that can only be reached via rivers. Originally Riverproof was organized as a co-op that allowed partners to acquire equipment at wholesale rates. By the mid-1980s Riverproof quickly morphed into a retail and repair business specializing in paddle sport related gear. Riverproof reorganized in 1999 as an LLC that allowed us to rent paddle sport equipment while continuing to sell and repair inflatables. Riverproof is once again modifying our business model by adding online sales.

Our Goal is to provide the best and safest paddle sports equipment available while meeting the budgets of our customers. Paddle sports are inherently dangerous and we want you to be as safe as possible. We only provide you (our friends and customers) with the same quality equipment that we use ourselves. We will not sell substandard equipment.
